Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast born on March 14, 1997 in the city of Columbus, Ohio. Biles is believed as one of the greatest gymnasts. Biles was the very first American female gymnast in history to win four gold medals at a single Games. Then, in Rio de Janeiro, she also became the first woman to have won consecutive World All-around titles (2013-15). Biles was raised on the streets of Spring Texas, in the Houston metro area. Both she and her sister Adria had been adopted by Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles. Simone discovered her love for gymnastics at age six during one of the field trips for daycare at Bannon's Gymnastix and she continued there for 11 years under guidance of her coach Aimee Boorman. Biles was awarded a silver medal for vault and floor during the women's Junior Olympic National Championships of 2010 before making her debut at the top levels of competition. In just two short years she became the most dominant in her class. Her consistency, her vivacious character and her high level of difficulty during her four events -- vault uneven bars balance beam floor exercise, and floor exercises -- helped to set her out from the rest of the athletes.
