The singer released her debut single Here in 2015 when she was 19. The single was a smash and garnered praise from the public and from critics. In the Canadian Hot 100, and Billboard Hot 100, ranked it at 19. Even Rolling Stone listed the smash as one the the Top Songs in 2015. The same year, she released her debut album Know It All with the third track Scars to Your Beautiful being the first of five tracks which peaked on the Billboard charts including The Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 as well as the Billboard Hot 100. In her Rap-Up Interview fans discussed Cara's journey to self-love and the doubts she faced. Cara has a reputation for her messages on the importance of mental health, kindness and love of self in her songs. The music she sings is reflective of her own struggles in dealing with anxiety and depression. Interview with Reuters the singer described her album as "half turbulent" as well as "half perfect". She says she grew through therapy and she encourages anyone else to seek out help when they need it. Alessia Cara grew up in Toronto, Canada.
